Tech for web startups
We take ideas from napkin notes to product launch – and beyond
What can we do for you?
Some Fantastic provides software development services and consultancy to startups and SMEs looking to establish, scale or rethink web and mobile applications. Based in the UK, we use the best open-source software to build satisfying new products for our clients across a diverse range of sectors.
Brilliant bespoke results
We specialise in creating sophisticated, usable and reliable web applications. We design and build efficient, clean front-end code complemented by scalable, robust backends, web services and integrations.
We'll help you shape your initial idea, involve you closely in the design and development cycles, keep measuring and iterating after the product is launched, then help you transition to your own team once you've found a product-market fit.
Want a sound view on your current products? Want to create a roadmap for your new idea? We'll provide carefully considered advice. Expect some tough love and plain talk.
We're used to working with clients who have a keen eye on their cash flow. Whether you're bootstrapped or bolstered by VC funding, we'll help keep your burn rate as low as is prudent.
Flexible, distributed teams
We've been operating 100% remotely and 100% effectively for more than a decade, following years of on-site work with clients. The right tools and processes let us call on additional team players whenever we need them – and wherever they are.
The best web apps don't just have robust, maintainable, efficient code: they need high-quality copy too, from user cues to FAQs. We can provide or polish content to top-notch standards, tuned to the project's needs.
What have we worked on?
We choose to work with a broad range of clients, meaning that – for more than a decade – no two client projects have been anywhere near the same. Whether we're collaborating with existing teams or running the entire project, it's always been good to expand our horizons, including...

How we work – and why we do it this way
Some Fantastic is headed by Steve Jalim and backed by a high-quality network of project management, design and development freelancers.
This means we can scale our teams to suit organisations both large and small, and with varying technical and creative needs.
In a line: we put together the team you need, rather than give you the only one we have.
We only call on people we've directly worked with, or who come recommended by trusted industry friends. Getting a place in our our little blue book of brilliance isn't easy.
We're happy to work for clients anywhere, and have years of experience of highly effective remote working.
Indeed, we're so confident and practised in our ability to work this way, we moved HQ to the rolling countryside after several years in London, while keeping existing clients in the capital (and winning new ones, of course).
Naturally, for on-site meetings, workshops and initial stages of development, we're happy to come to wherever you are.
